從Jan's Tech Blog中看到Google Map的延伸，Google Earth，透過這套軟體可以看到3D的建物，而不只是平面的衛星空照圖。不過查一下台灣似乎沒有任何3D建物，除了山以外。

在維道新聞blog中說到意大利程序员玩 Google Maps 发现古罗马遗迹，讓一般民眾也可以透過Google Map和Google Earth發現古蹟。
2005-12-22 補充：Google Earth讓各國政府「皮皮挫」，跟之前台灣立委反應一樣，哈哈。
